Welcome to Moorish-American Awareness Month — August 2026

Throughout August 2026, the Enforce The Constitution civic organization and the Office of the Consul General of Morocco at North America invite Moorish-Americans and members of the public to observe Moorish-American Awareness Month—a period dedicated to education, historical restoration, national development, and renewed responsibility.

Under the theme “From Public Recognition to National Responsibility,” this commemoration is dedicated to education, historical restoration, civic development, and the renewal of the responsibilities associated with the Moorish-American national name.

Throughout the month of August 2026, this page will feature public classes, educational presentations, documented Moorish-American experiences, official announcements, and records showing Moorish-Americans actively enforcing the constitution. Visitors are encouraged to return regularly as new classes, events, interviews, and educational materials are announced.

See Illinois House Bill 3486 PDF below

Illinois House Bill 3486 proposes designating August of each year as Moorish-American Awareness Month—a time to recognize the valuable historical and continuing contributions of Moorish-Americans to Illinois and American society.

The official legislative record shows that House Bill 3486 passed the Illinois House by a vote of 111–0 and was subsequently referred to the Senate Assignments Committee. This campaign is presented in support of the bill and its commemorative purpose.

Why Moorish-American Awareness Month Matters

Moorish-American Awareness Month matters because public recognition, by itself, is not enough. Recognition creates an opening; education, organization, and responsible action determine what follows.

For too long, Moorish-American identity, history, institutions, contributions, and present-day experiences have been omitted, misunderstood, or presented without the testimony of active Moorish-Americans. This commemorative month provides an organized opportunity to set the record straight through historical education, documented records, firsthand testimony, civic instruction, and public service.

Awareness should produce knowledge, and knowledge should produce responsibility. That responsibility includes studying our history and jurisprudence, living according to the principles of Love, Truth, Peace, Freedom, and Justice, supporting our institutions, protecting our rights and estates, and contributing to the uplifting of fallen humanity.

The purpose of this month is not merely for Moorish-Americans to be seen or acknowledged. It is an invitation for Moorish-Americans to become better informed, prepared, organized, disciplined, and accountable to the responsibilities of nationality.
